This is the case when all your molars are missing on one side or both sides of a jaw. In such a case, either a partial denture is necessary, or the molars are replaced by implants.

Only two implants are needed per side to avoid the need for dentures.

If we take into consideration that partial dentures last for an average of around 10 years, while properly cared for implants last for a lifetime, then the advantages of implants are obvious – financially, too.

Implants are indeed more expensive than partial dentures, but when the second set of dentures is needed, and then the anchor teeth for the dentures are lost as well, the costs will be significantly higher.
