Drilling without drill bits
For patients with an overwhelming fear of drilling – for children, too – we offer a procedure that works like a powerful sandblaster.
Carious sites are “blown off” with a tiny nozzle and are then filled using a so-called adhesive technique (gluing technique). Drilling can thereby be completely dispensed with, as can in most cases the injection. This technique can also be used on the permanent molars of older children, which are often afflicted with typical fissure caries (these are the black lines in the little creases of the molars). The caries is removed and the tooth subsequently sealed.
