Sedation (calming down) of anxious patients

Many patients are very much afraid of dental procedures.

A general anesthetic is not always desired or justifiable.

For such cases, we offer sedation with a special medication (Dormicum), which is injected into a vein in the arm before the procedure begins. The patient remains awake, but is completely relaxed and free of fear. This is called psycho-vegetative disassociation.

Blood pressure, which decreases slightly, is constantly checked during treatment. So-called monitoring (electronic cardiovascular monitoring) is only performed on high-risk patients.

Only Dr. Schmoll performs Dormicum sedation. Please consult him if you desire this treatment.
